Every year this mute swan (cygnus olor) and his mate come back to the Niagara Region and reside in one of the two ponds at Pleasant View Cemetery, in Pelham Ontario. It is very unique to see this genus variation in this area of the globe as they are primarily found within Europe. In fact, the mute swan is the national bird of Denmark.
