Golden Gambrel [#69]  - Click for previous

There are several barns like this one positioned in remote locations all over North America. This barn (like many others) included the popular Gambrel style roof. This architecture was used, and is believed to originate from the German people. The word Gambrel derives from the hock of a horse and the type of frame that is used to hang them for slaughter.
