Branta canadensis or better known to many as the mighty Canadian Goose. Like swans these birds will mate for life, and the family group will remain together for several months after hatching their young. These geese are also very protective of their territory, and will make a very formidable adversary. A gander's wings are capable of delivering a blow of surprising force, sufficient to ward off foxes and similar predators (including humans).
