Here is another picture that commemorates Canada Day's weekend. The Maple Leaf (like the one shown in the above picture) has been officially proclaimed the national arboreal emblem of Canada. There is one hundred and fifty known species of Maple trees (known as genus acer) but only thirteen call North America home. Since 1965, the Maple Leaf has been the centrepiece of Canada's National Flag.
