Into The Digital World [#59] - Click for previous

This picture of Jane was taken with 1600 ISO at a F1.4 aperture and surprisingly it turned out extremely sharp, even in the low light situation. As you probably already guessed, I have entered into the Digital SLR photography world since October 22nd. After a lot of research, I ended up purchasing Nikon's new D50 accompanied with a Nikkor 50mm F1.4 lens. This picture of Jane (displayed above) was taken with my first Nikon D50. I was in possession of the first D50 for approximately 20 hours. If you know me, you know that I am a meticulous individual that doesn't like any problems with new, recently purchased things. Take a gander in the dark area of Jane's ear and you'll notice a white dot, known to digital-photographers as a hot pixel. It was in the exact same spot (1381 x 761) on every picture that I took with the camera (more dominant when using 1600 ISO). As a result, the very next day I brought it back and exchanged it for another one.

I hope that everyone enjoys the new site design and now that the summer is sadly over, I will begin posting pictures once again. Stop by anytime.
