Do you know why seagulls live by the sea? If they lived near the bay they would be called bay-gulls. I apologize for that lame joke. It was difficult to reveal what species this bird is, as there are forty different types of seagulls that currently populate the Earth. It was also very suprising to discover that the average longevity of a seagull is thirty-six years. When it all comes down to it, most of us associate these scavengers with the droppings on our vehicles, or the nuisance when we eat outside.
