The Carolina Mantid or most commonly referred to as the Praying Mantis. This is another one of my captures that dwells on content rather than artistic.
I was headed to wash the car when I noticed this pea green insect on my ariel. It was truly amazing as we don't get many of these interesting creatures around here. I rushed to get my DC4800 to take a quick picture.
I believe that the mantis flies, but this one just wiggled back and forth.
I have no idea what happened to the little guy, but I washed my whole car and he/she never moved.
