Grounded Anchor [#27]  - Click for previous

This is a quick picture of a rusty anchor beside the Welland Canal. It looks to be decommissioned, but suprisingly it was supporting a giant laker that was docked. It was weird that the anchor was grounded and not submerged in the water. This anchor has a long shank, a crown, and two flukes that must have easily weighed in excess of seven thousand pounds.
